Our C/KU hybrid truck has 2 powerful hub mounted 400 watt HPAs atop a 2.4 meter antenna. This truck was designed with a spacious workspace & is equipped with many creature comforts not normally found in other uplink trucks. With 2 Tiernan 4000 encoders, we can uplink 2 High Definition & 2 Standard Definition signals quickly and reliably. Each encoder has 8 channels of audio available. Also on board is a multi definition 16 input switcher. The video backbone of the truck is all Digital. We carry 1000 Ft. of fiber optic cable to every job. A kohler 20 Kw on board generator supplies ample power. The truck is well air-conditioned & has a 10’ x 20’ sun shade & a 10’ x 10’ popup tent giving you 300 square feet of shaded workspace outside in addition to the interior workspace.
Inside is the quality you need:
Standard Definition: You will find a Beta SX deck capable of playing back oxide, SP or SX format tapes. Also on board is a DVCPro deck.
For the Talent:
IFB - Hardwired and wireless
Microphone: Wireless, hardwired (Lav & Stick) and lipmic
For the Crews:
Headsets have both IFB & PL at their finger tips. They can talk back to the studio via the telos link.
For those long runs we carry a Telecast HD/SD fiber system with 1,000 feet of fiber, in addition to 500 ft of copper (call for more details)
The truck can hot switch up to 8 cameras. We have 4 frame syncs 4 a to d converters. We want you on the air first and fast for those breaking stories
